Science: Olympics Weightlifting sports activities 1.Physical Attributes needed to be the best in this sport:
Senses:=: Good hand-eye coordination-lifting the weights up and see if correct technique, touch- judge the weight of the weights themselves and how you will approach the task of lifting the weights up themselves, strength-ability to lift the weights themselves since an anaerobic exercise need all the strength possible to lift the weights themselves without your body being able to pump sufficient amounts numbers # of oxygen into your muscles bones and tissues, endurance/stamina- ability to hold the weights up for a long time and all the hard work and practice and it is a anaerobic exercise so need all the stamina you can use to lift weights without oxygen, sight/visiosn- monitor your very own personal progress while lifting the weights and being able to set goals for yourself throughout the whole process and developing a plan to achieve your goal of lifting weights and practice and hard works and effoerts and a good healthy mental states
Muscle Groups ( describe if they should be fast and or strong): should defintley be both strong and endurant but do not wnat to be quick and rush things but instead take weightliting slowly and properly to do it right and correctly and to also avoid injury and dangers to your overall health and well-being however the sport of olympic weightlifting does occur and happen very quickly and soundly so quick and slow and both LOWER AND UPPER body muscles such as your hamstrings, quadriceps, hips, knees, (thighs areas), legs, trunks, triceps, pectorials, biceps, quads and hamstrings, upper back, abdomen, lower back, legs, and calves, shoulders, wrists, elbows, lower back, knees, and ankles, shoulders, calves, chests, backs, shoulders, triceps, biceps, forearms, trapezious, abs(abdominals) lower and upper body muscles especially trunk (abs and stomach) and leg muscles
Mental focus skills: FOCUS ON TECHNIQUE/STRATEGY, set goals for yourself, develop a plan, see how its going and what you should do, take it as a step by step process, patientce, trust and confidence in yourself and in others, understand your situation and what it is that you are lifting and how much it weighs, have a very positive and optimistic additude and do not ever give up on yourself by thinking that you can't do it an dtry to push yourself by striving to reach your very own personal goals and do your very absolute best and to be proud of what you have done and accomplished nt ashamed but proud and loud instead always try your best 2.Dietary Requirements: While doing your weightlifting diet, some good quality recommendations for your diet is to have a lot of protien especially since the human body consists of many different types of protiens and your body needs adequate amounts of protiens in order for it to produce and reproduce and hael muscle and bones tissues and you should also probably have extra amounts of protien then what is suggested for a daily diet since once again protien is absolutley critical for making muscle and bone tissues and obviously muscles are vital and indespensible for the sports of weightlifting and since adults probably need a little extra amounts of the daily recommended amounts especially mainly adults who are athletes and obviously olympics athletes are adults and you should also try to vary and differ the types of protiens that you consume like having both animal and plant protiens and having suffiecent amounts before and imediatley following and after exercise and workouts and when you wake up in the morning and some sources say that you should have extra amounts of carbs then what your body can burn off and the reasoning for this is that since the auctual sports activities of weightlifting is an anaerobic activity where your body can't get enough oxygen to your MUSCLES since the exercise is so quick so if you consume extra carbs and protiens then helps to build more muscle and has storage and your muscles can use that instead of just purley relying on pure strength instead. You should also have lots of water because the typical and average athlete and olympian must have quality amounts of water intake because water can assist and aid your body in eliminating radicals an dharmful substances in your muscle tissues which can eventually lead to certain particular cancers and unhealthy things going on in your body so radicals lead to the unhaelthy regeneration of tissues in your muscles so by having enough water you acn support proper growth necessary to weightlifting and it helps you to stay hydrated and finally timing is absolutley critical in your weightlifting diets because you need to have proper meals and not skip out on meals and food and beverages and to have very good portions of foods and drinks for your meals per day and when you eat in comparison to your weightlifting exercise activities and you should also try to have and consume extra calories for the same reasons as mentioned eralier aout carbs and protiens and you should moinitor your progress and set goals for yourself and avoid most fast foods and junk food on a daily basis and once again since weightlifting is a anaerobic exercise you might also try some foods and drinks to give you energy and not run out of energy and oxygen and get so tired to the point where you acn't do qualitty weightlifting and have carbohydrates such as oatmeals, breads, baked potatoes, spinach, and rice and bagels and have power drinks and protiens such as staeks, chickens, turkey, hams, and eggs and of course fruits and vegetables such as strawberries and fats like vitamins and having good level amounts of fats because fats provide the body with fuel, insulations, essential fatty acids, and building blocks for cell membranes. But overall and in conclusion the best possible diet for a good weightlifting programs is a BALANCED DIETS most sources all come together and agree that the body needs 25% protiens, 55% carbohydrates, and 20% fats all making up good amounts of inatkes of carbs and calories in your weightlifting diets itselfvfes.

Injury 3: Sprains/Strains/Fractures/pulling or tearing a muscles (stretchings) (R.I.C.E. method would help heal and recover from these injuries) 4. How do these apply to your sport?
Physical health: strength (muscle strength), diets and nutrition, endurance and stamina, and INJURIES and senses-hand-eye co-ordinations and touch, and good sleep be prepared knowing and understanding yourself and your body and what you cana nd can't do and what would be pushing yourself to hard to the point where it is risking your overall haelth and what is achievable for you yourself and for others focus on training exercises, STRETCHING and warm-ups, cool down technique and proper way to do it perfrom your tasks events

English: 4 paragraph english olympics essays (also had a works cited page papers) Michael Roarty 7th Grades English Block 2 Mrs. Kerr 4-1-11 English Olympics 4 Paragraph Essay Both the modern and the ancient Olympic Games have been held for thousands of years. Many different nations and athletes all come together to compete in the city chosen for the games. The Olympic Games were almost lost forever before the modern Olympics were restored to the world once more. The modern games now include both men and women athletes and they are held in a new city of the world for each Olympics. The Modern Olympics also include both summer and winter games with both the summer and winter events occurring every four years while two years separate them due to the scheduling of the Games (www.Wikipedia.answers.com). The winter sport of ice hockey is an event held in the Winter Olympics Games which is a team sport where the athletes skate on ice and they use their hockey sticks to try to get a puck into the other team’s goal. Ice hockey is an extremely physical sport and is a major sport in areas with a colder climate. Ice hockey is played all over North America and many countries located in Europe and Asia. Many people enjoy the Olympics because the Modern Games and their favorite winter event allow people all over the world to come together as one, and because many people enjoy a particular event in the Winter Games (www.about.com). First, the modern Olympic Games are events that allow people to represent their home nations in a very positive manor. The modern Olympics were reinstated by Pierre De Coubertin because he was extremely nationalistic and he wanted to support his home country of France. It was also an opportunity to supply a chance to create a more harmonious world through the Games. The IOC (International Olympic Committee) also helped Coubertin to bring back the Games with the motto, faster, higher, stronger (www.about.com). So, they were brought back to allow people to return both glory and honor to their own country and help create a more peaceful world where people of all cultures can interact well, and the Olympic movement which helps to link sport with culture and education, promote sports and the joy in hard work, and to help build a better world through the aspects of the Olympics (www.olympics.mu). In continuation, the first modern Olympics Games were held in 1896 in Athens Greece (the birthplace of the ancient Games). Going on, there were over two-hundred-thirty athletes (all male, no female) from over thirteen-fourteen nations competing in the first modern Games (www.multimedia-olymoics.org). Also, there were no winter sports included in the Olympic Games until 1924 in Chamonix, France (www.history.com). Next, in the first modern Games there were awards as winners received an olive branch just like in the ancient games, as well as a victory certificate and a silver medal (www.chevroncars.com). Then, a copper medal and a laurel sprig were given to the runner up, and of course in the most recent Games first place gets a gold medal, second a silver, and third a bronze (www.fanbay.net). The medal awards have remained basically the same for all of the Olympics Games. Finally some of the events held in the modern Olympics were aquatics, athletics, fencing, tennis, cycling, and gymnastics, shooting, weightlifting, wrestling, and running (marathon and pentathlon). Then, more current events such as baseball, basketball, soccer, badminton, boxing, volleyball, triathlon, ect… have been added on to the Games more recently (www.enchantedlearning.com). Many different events have been added on to the Olympics going from the ancient games, to the first modern games, and now to the most recent and current games. The modern Olympic Games have many different aspects to them but have had a very good influence on thousands of people across the world today. Secondly, when somebody is watching the Olympics, they have to have a favorite event that they like to watch. The winter sport that would appeal to me and thousands of other people would be ice hockey. I find the ice hockey events more interesting than others because it has so much action going on, it is a sport that is familiar to me since it is played where I live, and I am a hockey fan for my home team, the St. Louis Blues. For me, another reason that I enjoy ice hockey is that I like skating on ice and the cold weather conditions, the USA team always performs at a very high level in this event, and because it has a lot of history to it, and it is a major team sport. Moving forward, the country that is typically predicted to win this event is Canada, the Soviet Union, or the USA (www.wikipedia.answers.com). However, the Czech Republic, Sweden, Germany, the Unified Team, Finland, Switzerland, Great Britain, and Russia also do very well and contend for the medals every year. So, many countries with cold climates do well in ice hockey. For example, the United States of America’s best team members for ice hockey in the Olympics are mainly all NHL players. The thing that makes these players the best is that they are the professionals and they practice a lot and have good strength both physically and mentally (www.About.com). Also, both Team Canada’s men and women teams are world record holders for most ice hockey Olympic world championships with twenty-four for the men and nine for the women (www.Guinness World Records.com). Canada does so well in ice hockey because for the people of Canada, hockey is a huge aspect of their lives. For thousands of people across the world, the winter Olympics event of ice hockey is one of the most appealing sports to watch during the Olympics Games. In conclusion, the Olympic Games are full of rich tradition and history (flag, torch, medals). Many people enjoy both the modern Olympic Games and their own favorite winter event because they give different people of the world a chance to come together as one, and because many people appreciate a certain winter game the most. The Olympics have had such a great impact on the world in so many ways and is one of the most recognized events in the world.

Most of all of these medals won by Turkey have all by far been in the Olympics Games sports of Wrestling which is what Turkey is best most widley known for when taking part particiapting in during the olympics games events and Taekwondo also as well as to that particular certain points
The great nation country of Turkey has a very small history in the olympics games in the past as they have never hosted an olympics games before in the past however the major city town located in Turkey called Istanbul has made several bids for the IOC to have the games held there as they have tried to host them in past recent years such as 2000, 2004, 2008, 2012, and Turkey is trying to make a very serious run at hosting the 2020 olympic games according to the governemnt officials and they will just keep on bidding until they finally do get chosen selected by the commitee to host an olympics games eithe rsummer or winter games but tried in the past an dfailed but also skipping the bid at the 2016 olympics games for national reasons within the government an dthe nation country itself

The most recent Winter Olympics Games were held in the years of 2010 in the location city of Vancouver in the province state of British Columbia Canada and the country nation that is hosting the next upcoming winter Olympic Games is the great nation country of called Russia (Soviet Union) in the city town of Sochi in 2014 years
The most recent Summer Olympics Games were held in the years of Bejing, China in 2008 city towns nations countries and the next upcoming summer Olympics Games will be held in the graet city towns nations countries of England/Great Britain in the capital city town of London in 2012 while the 2016 site for the Summer (and Winter) Olympics Games remained to eb determined and ha snot been decided by the IOC quite yet up at this particular certain point in time years
My very own personal favorite summer olympics games events would either be baseball or basketball because I, myself play both of those two 2 sports activities, the team USA always competes well in them and always has a good chance of winning the gold and due to IOC rules updated a couple decades ago I can also now see my favorite players take part in them like Derek Jeter in baseball or Brad Beal in USA basketball, however i did like it better when they didn't allow let professional athletes take part in the games like in the 1980 miracle on ice and are played where i live and they are worldwide sports that other nations play and i can understand and follow both of these games sports events very well
My very own personal favorite winter olympics games events would have to be Ice Hockey because it is a sport that is played where i live and is a wrldwide sport not just played within the USA itself and because i am able to follow and understand it very well and because the USA always does well in this certain particular event and there is a lot of action going on in this sport and because in ice hockey we get to compete against other quality teams and opponets where in basketball you have guys like Coach K, Dwayne Wade, Lebron James, Kobe Bryant going up against other players that don't play at such a high level in professional basketball and in hockey we play teams like Russia, Canada, Czech Republic, Sweeden, Norway all of which are very talented teams at ice hockey itselfvfesvsaos

Both the modern and the ancient Olympic Games have been held for thousands of years. Many different nations and athletes all come together to compete in the city chosen for the games.
